Private Work

Private Sessions

Private sessions are offered in the Northern, VA area.  These are geared more for dogs with behavioral concerns making them not suited at that point for small group work. Payment must be received on the first class.

Behavioral Consults

Concerned your dog may have problems but are not sure if you need a general obedience program or a behaviorist?  Need a consult regarding a behavioral issue?  House training issues?  Expecting a baby and need advice on preparing a dog? Whatever?  Then a consult may be a good choice.  Please have proof of rabies inoculations. Consults are filled on a first come basis.

Prenatal Sessions

Concerned about your dog and a new baby? Need some in home advice to prepare your dog for the new baby? Learn how to prepare your dog for a new arrival (can also be adapted to adopted and foster children who are not infants).

Beginning Training

Due to the economy and with the horrid Washington region traffic making it difficult for people to attend Thursday evening classes, all ages will be combined into one beginners class to be held Sunday afternoons.  Do not worry, puppies will not be treated like adult dogs and all dogs will be worked at a level suitable for the individual dog. Puppies have always been allowed in the Sunday classes if Thursdays were not an option.

Advanced Manners

This class will focus on a formal heel and finding heel position, teaching the dogs to do behaviors from a distance (such as go from a sit-stay to a down-stay without handler having to return to the dog), stop during a recall, etc. In order to participate, a dog must have good loose leash manners, able to stay in a sit and down while handler walks to the end of the leash and return, come when called with mild distractions.
