UKC Ch. Phoenix Imaginary Friend
Foster was added to my gang in August of 2007 when he was 13 weeks old. Foster has some big shoes to fill. My dream Sheltie was going to be a big, flashy blue
merle with attitude. Instead, this guy fell into my lap. He is well built, has attitude but did not make fifteen inches and I had hoped he would!
Foster is very much his own dog. He works well with my children who show him in United Kennel Club Conformation and Junior Handling.
Connor has started dabbling in Agility with him as well. Not sure if we will start competing in Agility, time (and money) will tell!
On Dec 15, 2007, Foster took a Group 2 at a small UKC show - his first show and first win towards a UKC Championship.
On April, 19, 2008, my nine year old son handled Foster to two Reserves, UKC. Foster is still immature but turned heads and got good comments from the judges.
Connor continues to handle Foster in UKC. Later on, he finished Foster's UKC Ch and in March '09, obtained Foster's first UKC Gr Ch win.
In 2009, Foster had his first Agility classes. He shows promise! I just hope I have the time to keep working him!
March 2010, Animal Planet was filming Foster and Connor (my now 11 year old son who is Hyperlexic - high functioning Autistic) at a UKC dog show in Lynchburg, VA for
possible use in an upcoming "Dogs 101" episode slated for later this year (Tentative October air date). Little sister, Sarah (now 6) and Ravyn were also filmed.
